Kiniro Hits Traffic At Chester
Kiniro treated his lucky owners to a wonderful day out at Chester this week as part of the Boodles May Festival.
After an unkind draw in stall 11, at a track renowned for its heavy low draw bias, it was clear that being involved for top places was unlikely. The priority for us was to see Kiniro make a positive seasonal reappearance and show good order.
After travelling well and being positioned for a late surge, Kiniro was repeatedly denied a clear run in the final couple of furlongs.
Despite this, the post-race IQ data showed that Kiniro had the best finishing speed and 3rd best top speed in the field.
Jockey Oisin Murphy, who had previously ridden Kiniro to a win and a place, reported that Kiniro had never felt better and was poised to make up considerable ground before hitting traffic and having no way to find daylight.
The report and Kiniro’s overall order were extremely encouraging and there much excitement in Kiniro moving forward.
